Fees for source verification services

Account fee:
All international medical graduate applicants are required to pay a one-time account fee of $250.00 CAD. The account fee covers:

  • Hosting your medical credentials online for life
  • Providing secure information sharing-capabilities with Canadian medical regulatory authorities and other organizations
  • Accessing dedicated and knowledgeable support staff to help you navigate the application and verification process
  • Preparing and conducting a preliminary review of your supporting documentation confirming identity, name, etc..

Medical document fee:
A $100.00 CAD fee is charged for each of the first four (4) medical documents submitted for source verification. Each subsequent document is charged a $60.00 CAD fee. The document fee(s) are in addition to the account fee.

Payment method
Payments can only be made by Visa or MasterCard from within your PCRC Online account.  We do not accept any other type of payment. 

Applicants may, with permission, use a friend's or family member’s credit card to pay their fees.

Prepaid or secured credit cards (Visa or MasterCard), available from local financial institutions, are also acceptable forms of payment. For more information, visit Visa or MasterCard websites.

Submitting documents after the initial application
You are not required to submit all your documents at the same time; you may add documents to your account any time after registration.

Documents that were previously verified by ECFMG and/or EICS
If the document you submitted to PCRC has been previously verified by ECFMG and/or EICS, you will qualify for a refund of $40.00 CAD.  The refund will be applied once ECFMG confirms that the document was previously source verified.  The refund only applies to documents where the fees are $100 CAD.

All refunds will be processed by providing a credit/refund against the credit card originally used to pay the document fees.

Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be provided in writing. Refunds will only apply under the following circumstances:

  • Full refunds (i.e., the applicable account fee and document fees) will be provided if the cancellation request is received prior to the receipt of the applicant’s documents at PCRC's office.
  • A refund for the document fee(s) only will be provided if the cancellation request is received after receipt of the applicant’s documents at PCRC offices and prior to PCRC processing the documents.

All funds are in Canadian dollars.

All fees are subject to change without notice. The applicable fees will be those posted at the time of submission of the source verification request.
