What happens after you submit your online source verification request?
1) Upon successful submission of an online application and payment,
- A confirmation e-mail is immediately sent to you. This is your official payment receipt.
2) Once your documents are received by PCRC (by courier or mail),
- An e-mail will be sent to you stating that we have received your documents.
Note:
- Documents sent by mail are received usually within 3 to 10 days inside Canada, 20 to 30 days outside of Canada.
- Documents sent by courier are received usually within 2 to 10 days.
3) Preliminary review of your documents begins.
- An email will be immediately sent to you when:
- A deficiency is found in any of your documents; or
- Your documents have passed the PCRC review.
Note:
- Documents are usually reviewed within 2 to 10 days after they have been received, possibly longer during peak periods.
- Documents that have passed the preliminary review will be sent for source verification within a 24-hour period.
- A deficiency in your PCRC Declaration and Authorization for Release of Information form will stop the processing of all your documents.
4) Documents are sent to be source verified.
- Document verification statuses will be updated in your PCRC Online account within 3 days of PCRC receiving updated information on the status of your documents.
- An e-mail will be immediately sent to you if any of your documents require further information or correction.
Note:
- Confirming source verification of a document can take between 30 to 90 days after it has been sent out to the medical institution for verification. Sometimes this process can take even longer, depending on the response time from the medical institution.
- Confirming source verification of a pre-verified document (when the applicant has an EICS number) generally takes between 5 to 20 days.
